Townsend to leave Tottenham?

Remember when Andros Townsend was England's next big thing and the man to take over Spurs' left flank after Gareth Bale jetted off to Spain? What distant, weird times those were... back in 2014. In any event, the 24-year-old is reportedly mulling over a January transfer as his exile under Mauricio Pochettino continues.
The Daily Star isn't the only paper to note his growing dissatisfaction at White Hart Lane, with the latest ignominy -- demotion to the U21 team -- apparently the final straw.
Though the recent problem (a row with a fitness coach at the beginning of November) was sparked by Townsend, he's had a tough year as Pochettino's hungry, aggressive side have become a Premier League force without him in the ranks. The wide midfielder has made just three substitute appearances in the league in 2015-16.
The list of possible destinations is plentiful, but far from promising: Swansea, Aston Villa, West Brom, Leicester and Newcastle are reportedly kicking the tires. It's also not the first time Townsend has reportedly sought a transfer, so is it serious or just a ploy?
